ON THE R.O.A.D. - ROOTS OF AFRO-CENTRIC DANCE

MixedBlood Entertainment’s On The R.O.A.D. – Roots of Afro-centric Dance program is a unique blend of dance and music history. The program focuses on the artistic contribution of Africans and those within the Diaspora, particularly in the performing dance and music arts.

On the R.O.A.D. brings Afro-centric dances created by Black people from Africa to Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas, to the children, youth and adults of your community.

The On the R.O.A.D. program fosters a better understanding of Black people in history. The program honours and celebrates Black heritage and passes on the legacies of those influential people who inspired others to succeed in spite of the incredible odds. These people instilled confidence, determination, and more importantly, promoted positive thinking and responses in every circumstance of ones life. Discovering the roots and history of one aspect of a culture can empower, strengthen and encourage all of us, the young and the adult, to be and do our best.

The On the R.O.A.D. program is a great source of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual exercise; and an energizing and enjoyable time for all who participate. It is a transforming experience that can last a lifetime.
